Meet Chris Morris
Candidate for Upper Providence Supervisor
A Leader Dedicated to Upper Providence Township.
I am a husband, father, business professional, and community leader who has proudly called Upper Providence home for the past 17 years. I understand what makes our township special — our beautiful parks, outstanding public services, and the strong sense of community that brings us all together.
That’s why I’m running for Township Supervisor — to protect what we love while planning responsibly for our future.

My Key Areas of Focus
💰 Protecting Your Tax Dollars
As a Supervisor, I will bring business-minded oversight to our township budget—ensuring every dollar is spent wisely, transparently, and in the best interest of residents.
Upper Providence families work hard, and they deserve a local government that respects that. I will:
-
Eliminate wasteful spending and promote clear and competitive bidding for township projects
-
Prioritize funding for core services that residents actually use
-
Support long-term planning to avoid costly surprises down the road
Your tax dollars should serve you—not special interests.
🏗️ Responsible Management of Our Township’s Growth
Growth is inevitable—but overdevelopment doesn’t have to be. I will fight to make sure that any new development in Upper Providence is sensible, measured, and truly benefits the community.
We’ve seen the consequences of unchecked development:
-
Increased traffic congestion on Route 29, Egypt Road, and the Oaks exit
-
Strained local resources
-
Worsening flooding in areas like Mingo Creek and Longford Park
I’ll advocate for:
-
Better traffic and stormwater planning
-
Closer coordination with local organizations and emergency services
-
Transparent zoning and land use decisions that reflect resident input
Growth must be earned, not rubber-stamped.
🌳 Preserving Our Community’s Character
Upper Providence is a great place to live—let’s keep it that way. I’m committed to protecting what makes our township special:
-
Open space and parks like Black Rock, Anderson, Longford, and MacFarlan Parks
-
Family-friendly neighborhoods
-
Local businesses and community institutions
I’ll work to:
-
Expand access to green space and recreational areas
-
Support preservation of historic villages like Mont Clare and Oaks
-
Promote community events and programs that strengthen neighborhood bonds
We can grow without losing who we are.
